Dries Van Noten, at Al Ostoura Kuwait
Al Ostoura, Kuwait’s leading luxury fashion retailer takes great pleasure in announcing the opening of Dries Van Noten in Kuwait.
The new shop is located at the Al Thuraya Complex, one of the most prestigious shopping venues. Al Ostoura is dedicating this shop exclusively to the Dries Van Noten collection for women, opening with a full range of garments and accessories from Mr. Van Noten’s collection for Winter 2011.
The concept for the 770 square foot store has been meticulously devised by Dries Van Noten and his team. Dries Van Noten, in Al Ostoura Kuwait evokes the spirit and calm of the eponymous shops of Dries Van Noten all around the world, that of a luxurious and sophisticated yet comfortable apartment.
This new shop like its predecessors, straddles the Asian and European continents in style and the provenance of its contents. Each original piece of furniture, “objet trouvé” and decorative feature has been carefully and personally sourced by Mr. Van Noten from salesrooms and antique dealers in Belgium and across Europe to reflect his very personal and eclectic style.
The choice of furnishings for this new shop includes a late Victorian brass-mountain satinwood and amaranth display cabinet, a brass spiral Stilnovo 1960’s Italian Chandelier, grey painted Louis XV revival 1920’s writing table from Maison Jansen in Paris and original Marthe Guillain (1890-1974) compositions on canvas.
